If you do then make sure to get your application filled in on the portal as soon as possible as on-campus accommodation tends to fill up fast. If you do want it apply as soon as you receive the all student emailing telling you to apply. University accommodation again can be applied for through the portal and is best to be done quickly as it fills up fast too. The other option is private accommodation and the options available are quite different in style and locations. Students tend to pick the following areas:
Central Stirling – 15 minutes from University with a regular bus service. Easy access to bus and train stations, various supermarkets. This area is predominantly flats.Bridge of Allan – 5 minutes drive from the University or 15-20 minutes walk. Tends to be more expensive than elsewhere with mainly houses for rent. Has a Co-op store.Causewayhead – Just ‘next door’ to the University – good bus routes to the town centre with mainly houses to rent. Local Co-op close by.Whins of Milton – 20 minutes bus journey to University – both houses and flats available for rent.Bannockburn – 20 minute direct bus route from University. Historic area with houses and flats available for rent.Dunblane – 20 minutes on bus. Local train station and Tesco as well as other local shops. A scenic area.Raploch – 15 minutes from University. Not a direct bus route to the University.Cornton – 10 minutes from University with regular bus service.
